NY Gala2008 Benefit Gala

The Partnership for Public Service hosted its fifth New York City gala at Manhattan landmark Cipriani’s 42nd Street. The gala brought together more than 700 government leaders, business executives and stakeholders from the entertainment and nonprofit sectors to demonstrate their support for a vital federal government. Stephen Colbert, host of The Colbert Report, served as master of ceremonies and had the audience laughing all night with his trademark wit and enthusiasm.

Intern EventFifth Annual Summer Intern Event and Career Fair

Speakers: House Majority Leader, U.S. Representative Steny Hoyer and Cokie Roberts, Political Commentator, ABC News and Senior News Analyst, NPR News

The Partnership for Public Service and the Smithsonian Institution, with generous support from GEICO and the Annenberg Foundation, hosted an after hours forum at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. This first-ever Annenberg Spreakers Bureau event featured House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Cokie Roberts, Political Commentator, ABC News and Senior News Analyst, NPR News, as moderator. After the event, interns met with representatives from federal agencies like NASA, CIA and the State Department at a one-of-a-kind Federal Career Fair.
